Change: Alter, Transform and Switch; To Become Different

: to make different in some particular : ALTER

: to make radically different : TRANSFORM

: to make a shift from one to another : SWITCH

: to become different

Ahh yes: “Alter, transform and switch, to become different’’.....these words resonate a lot in FIG’s evolution, we’re excited about a little bit of change (and a little apprehensive if we’re being honest!).

Thing 1: Happily, word appears to be getting out that professional relationships are fundamentally important to the effectiveness of achieving business goals, writ large, and that a cohesive interpersonal working environment is an imperative to the performance, potency and success of any organization. Numerous forward-thinking, innovative and progressive leaders are recognizing the benefits of working with the talented folks they initially hired, investing in the further development of the same (and themselves!) as it relates to emotional intelligence , interpersonal dynamics and practical solutions in their workplaces. These welcome acknowledgements are a big change in the way we do business universally and FIG is booming!

Thing 2: Sarah, our beloved Marketing Manager of 4 years, is finding extraordinary acknowledgement and recognition with the fan base of her other gigs as Owner of Sonder Music Management and Manager for the band Float Like a Buffalo (check them out if you haven’t heard their funk rock music - they’re awesome and commencing a nationwide tour this week!). FIG has been a passion project for Sarah (which is why we love her!), but the demands of executing and coordinating a 7-member band on the road through 11 states over the next 5 weeks is a primary attention necessity for her right now, and it means juggling the demands of FIG would be challenging to do both divergent commitments -  and, guess what? We take our own advice around here and she’s creating space for herself to focus on the immediacy of this time and energy demand and prioritizing her time commitments. She’ll still be around in spirit, as an advisor and contributor, just a little less actively right now. I know you’ll all join me in wishing her and Float HUGE success on the road.

Thing 3: (Still taking our own advice) FIG requires a little bit of a change, and we’re taking the time to stop, think about what needs to be done to satisfy the needs of the company, figure out a plan of action and execute.

All this is to say, our weekly offerings will be suspended for a while, as we figure out a pivot (this word has been so vastly overused during Covid but it works here!), a shift and a transformation in FIG’s time allotment and direction. It’s  exciting to see our evolution, astonishing to see how FIG has dramatically resonated with humans in the workplace, and thrilling to participate in so many of our clients' expansions professionally. So for now, we’ll bid you all adieu - at least on a weekly basis. We may turn up in your inboxes periodically, and please wish us luck in the exploration of FIG's expansion.

We invite you to visit our website to reread any blogs you may have missed or might be helpful for you and, as always, we’re here if you need anything human-related.

Cheers to you all and so many thanks for your support over the past year or so!

Until next time……..
